Natural Bush Setting

Hosts Danny and Annette Wotherspoon take particular pride in the distinctly Australian quality of their property which with its natural bush garden, is rich in birds and other animal life.

The location is very quiet, relaxing and secluded.

There is an old stone cottage set in native wildflower gardens, with a swing under the gum trees, waiting for you and your special one.

Cottage

There is also a large terrace with picnic setting and umbrella.
Warm and inviting, the cottage is a snug retreat in winter, and a cool and shady precinct during warmer months.

Our fragrant gardens feature native herbal specials such as Lemon Myrtle, lemon tea tree, mint bush, and boronia.  See the Waratah bed, with 13 bushes ready to burst into bloom each Spring.  Lillipillis, Davidson’ s Plum, and native figs will soon mature to fruiting age and tempt the adventurous – if the wildlife leave any for us!

With over 100 species of birds here, and possums and fruit bats at night, there is plenty of competition for anything that looks like food!

Petanque Lawn

For a fun time not too strenuous, play a game of petanque on our lawn.  You know the rules:

Rule 1:  a glass of appropriate drink is to be held in one hand when playing any shot!

Rule 2:  read the directions in the box!

Give your romance a lift here.

Outside you can enjoy the wooden swings which were built for the  movie "Sirens" centred around Norman Lindsay,  featuring Elle McPherson, Hugh Grant, Kate Fischer, Tara Fitzgerald and Sam Neill. You could even relive the famous Fairy Scene.
